Overview of the facts, data & rules

Foundation/ Organisation	In the school year of 1992/93 the contents of the teacher’s and the central library were consolidated. In the school year of 1997/98 – after a basic renovation of the school building – the books were relocated to the new, 140 m² open access library hall. The library went into service with collaboration of volunteer students from the lower grades and senior classes. This model is called “under cooperation of students”.

Special inventory	The “Josef Winkler” library In 2002 the Carinthian author Josef Winkler gave many hundreds of books to the school library. They were catalogued according to the system of the normal inventory and are presented in two extra glass cabinets. The books are on open access for all students.
Multimedia facilities	7 PC-stations with internet access, laptop, beamer, DVD-player
Opening hours	Mo-Fr daily before the start of the lessons and in the breaks, taken care of by volunteer librarian; 11 hours per week maintained by the library director; Access for all classes accompanied by a teacher during the school hours.
Terms of use	open access to the books, use of reference books in the library only, borrowing of other books for 3 weeks, extension of time possible, a maximum of 4 books can be borrowed at the same time, no borrowing fee, no overdue fines, free internet access on 5 computers.	Library rules
